If you have no weapon and are not pursuing with hounds, I don't see how you can be classified as hunting. The greenies go howling for wolves all the time and that does not seem to be illegal.

If you call in wolves, even if just for pics, expect to have the chance to be persecuted for "hunting" wolves. That's the truth. I am amazed guys post pics of them on the web here in wa, just asking for trouble
