Took my cousin out to get him his 1st!
« on: August 11, 2013, 12:04:25 PM »
Took my cousin out on Thursday and he shot a pretty decent bear! Right at 300lbs. Got down 3 bears in one day! He missed a blondie in the morning and was feeling pretty bumbed and then I glassed up this one that he shot but he told me to shoot. I'm hunting with my pistol so it makes it a little more difficult. The bear was at 75 yards so it would be a easy shot with the pistol. However my cousin is 23 and hasn't shot a bear and I'm 17 and have shot quite a few. So... My cousin now has a cinnamon in the books! :)

Nice
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

This bear is 300 pounds. My cousin is 6'2" 250 and this bear had a gut on it that you can't see.

I am a butcher and meat cutter, this bear railed at 185lbs so you lose about 45% so field weight was pretty damn close to 300lbs
