Wynoochee
« on: October 23, 2008, 04:43:07 AM »
I've been looking out by the wynoochee damn off of FR 22 or 23 (sorry maps at home) I have heard good things about this area but have not seen much of anything.  I was wondering if any of you more seasoned hunters had any suggestions for a rookie.  Thank you much and hope you all have a good hunt.

I was down there last year during deer season, all the best areas I scouted in the summer months looked like trailer villages(even though the timber Co. says NO CAMPING)Complete with generators and light strings.I can't think it would be better during Elk season

If anyone has a suggestion of a better spot I'm open to it.  I know that it is late but I would still be able to do a quick look at almost anywhere on the westside before opening day.

there are elk up there just not a ton, I don't hunt up there personally but I know a few who do.  You probably want to know where they are before goin though.

COWEEMAN and RYDERWOOD look like there are better numbers.. do you guys think that I would be better off spending the last weekend scouting there.  if so does anybody know about access.  Im not looking for anybodys spot, just access points.  Thanks
