This ever happen to you?
« on: August 12, 2013, 08:37:27 PM »
Go out, shoot 4 or 5 arrows and say, "not happening tonight". Just went out to shoot for a few minutes in between chores and although I hit the target at 30yds, it wasn't pretty.  :chuckle:

Yep.....and I stop shooting. On the flip side when I'm getting close to being done with a shooting session I make sure I end on a positive note.....shoot a few that are just drilling the target...call it good.

I would stop after a 1/2 dozen arrows.  Some days it just wasnt happening.

don't adjust anything, just come back in a day or two and shoot again
It is what you meant it to be...

That exact scenario happened to me, yesterday, also at 30 yards.  Needless to say, only 3 arrows were flung...

Thank god Im not the only one. I am new to archery, started last year. Glad to hear even some of the veteran archers have bad days. I try to shoot for about 20-30 minutes every couple days at least, especially with a new sight, release, fairly new bow. Alot to get used to at once.  :chuckle:

Archery can be a lot like golf.

Some days it is just better not to.
