For a long time martin has had limb failures that has hurt it compound reputation. I may look into getting a martin recurve however...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Martin has sold. It was a joint deal between the city of Walla Walla and an investment company out of California.

It sounds like they have brought in PSE's VP of sales to help right the ship. I doubt they will have enough time to make a huge impact with their 2014 line, but the good news is they will stay in Washington and the company that bought them has a good track record of making companies successful again.
It was actually the port of walla walla that purchased the land and building where martin archery is located (not that it really matters but correct info is best). they will lease the facility to a new company affiliated with Diversis capital llc for 10 years. Diversis capital invests in small to medium companiss and is headquartered in california.
This is great for martin archery and the community down there!

Martin has been posting new stuff on Facebook.  Maybe they will turn things around.

Nice letter on the front page of their website as well.  Gives some information on the new owners, the top guy involved and give due respect to Gail Martin and the family.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

From what I understand they have the finances to do it, they have the management experience to do it, they have the marketing knowhow to do it.  Only question is if they have the archery marketing knowhow to do it!  That's not an easy thing to find as Bear Archery found out between 1985 and 2009.  The PSE influence should be a good one for them in compound bow development.  That's a good fit.  In regards to recurve/Damon Howatt I think we just have to wait and see.  If they keep Danny on as a consultant they should be fine.
