I hope I didn't make a mistake by making the purchase of my first bow as a Martin.  People told me not to go with Martin because their future was uncertain, but the price was so much cheaper for the Martin than any other bows out there I decided to take the gamble.

Hopefully if something breaks on it, I will be able to get parts.  :o

A built in excuse to buy a new bow!  How awesome is that? :chuckle:  No more "Honey I want to."  Now you can have a "Honey I have to"  Sweet lemonade!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I hear that if RadSav acquires Martin the fist bow is free to all HuntWA members.  RadSav, can you confirm that rumor? :chuckle: ;)

I have no idea what you just said.  But I think I like the sound of it. :dunno:

Whether it be RAD or someone else buying Martin Archery I would encourage supporting the local company in some way. Same would go for Sims Vibration.  We do not have that many local archery companies left in Washington state.  Each and every one of them could use our support to keep jobs and the tradition here!  Many of those Sims and Martin employees are members here on Hunting-Washington!  Makes them family in a way.

Even if you bleed Hoyt, Bear, PSE, Bowtech or Mathews there is always something from Martin Archery you can get to support the local company.  They have a wealth of prepackaged kids bows, entry level traditional bows, take down recurves, custom/hand made traditional bows as well as many other neat little gadgets.  Compound sales haven't been their driving force in many years.  Would be nice if whomever gets the company changes that!  But you can support them without sacrificing your brand loyalty

I just put a bunch of new SVL goodies on my bow last night.  Gives me that Trading Places feeling, "Looking good Billy Ray. Feeling good Lewis".  "Made in New Jersey" just doesn't give me that same feeling.

I have not received Band's real estate investment check yet.  So I have "No comment" :chuckle:

Don't forget we are not the only ones in play here.  Please support anyone who finds a solution and saves this company!

i started with a Martin when i was about 6 or 7, a Little John wooden handled compound.  left archery for many years, but when i came back, i bought a lightly used 2006 Phantom II.  killed my first archery buck with it, then bought an '09 MOAB (left over stock in 2010).  killed a few more deer while the Phantom became my indoor bow (Nitrous B X cams, elite limbs).  then sold the MOAB to my boss and bought an '11 Onza in '12.  Killed a 3 pt with it last year with my 5yo daughter at my side.  in the meantime, i bought an '04 Slayer Nitrous C X cams for a 3D bow.  if i'm able to whack a mulie in the CRP/Sage/wheat this year as is my plan, next year i might dust off the 57# takedown recurve my dad and Danny Martin put together on a LJCH (little john compound handle) riser and see if i can stick a deer with trad gear.

i hope Martin is bought by an entity that will continue the value-for-money that has worked well for them, while growing the brand and recovering the trust of those plagued by limb issues (myself included on the MOAB).  My dad shot a lot with Gail and painted all Martin bows for years before they went to dipping.  they've been a part of my families history for a long time!

Thank you for that 724!  That is exactly what we are fighting for.  It's not simply a business risk/decision.  It's a family tradition.  The Martin family, your family, my family and the Washington state archery family.

My first bow was a Martin Cougar 2, when my wife decided to start shooting a bow I found a great deal on a pink Martin for her.  I don't have one bad thing to say about their product I wish you the best of luck Radsav, I will be glad to continue to support a local company whever I get the chance.

You also would have to get Uncle Ted back on board. It's just not right seeing him shoot a Mathews.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

eh.  you'd be better off with either a young up and comer (lookin at you Alwine!  :chuckle:)or a current hot shot (Cameron, Eichler, etc...)

uncle ted turns off as many people as he has on his side.

It's not right seeing anyone shooting a Mathews :chuckle:

I would be thrilled to see Ted back with Martin.  But if he does another reality show...deals off! >:(

Alwine
Would have to raise the price of each Martin bow about $250 each to afford Cameron and Eichler!  Well, I guess that would put us right there with Hoyt though, wouldn't it :chuckle:

How about a D-Rock Express, a Smossy Kinetic Extreme, a Huntnnw Special, a Boneaddict longbow or even a Bearpaw Jr   :chuckle:
