Well it's been tuff. Have some video's.  Going to hunt in the morning then I'm done with the coast. Should of went eastside better.  Got people wanting to buy calls. So have to come home. My try the eastside if I get caught up with callmaking. Least now I will have something for people to learn how to call with. Tomorrow going to use  openreeds to. Wish I wouldn't have forgotten the mt bike. Tired heading back to camp. Rick

A question here Ric.

Is calling for bears effective all day or just morning and evening  :dunno:

What is the best time to call?

I have called them in at all hours of the day, but have killed more in the morning.
Bear hunting is normally a morning and evening deal for me, with naps in the middle of the day.  :chuckle:

you know that's right. Bear hunting nap is mandatory.

Afternoon mainly. I don't call much in the evening. Hunting by myself try to do a easy hunt in the evening. Morning is great for seeing coyotes come in at daylight  I let them go. Been seeing lots of coyotes here. The eastside early morning it gets hot fast there. Rick

How long for a calling sequence?

How long between calling sequence?

And how many do you recommend before moving on?

Call constantly for one hour minimum. Move on after you are done with the stand.

Watch in my video. I will do fawn bleats to sorta take a breather then I crank on it.  When you here something out there it keeps you going. You can use a Foxpro to down on volume fawn distress, elk distress, jackrabbit or snow shoe will help. Call with closed reed with it playing when tired helps. To Rick
