After seeing that buck come out of the TRIPOD BURN I'd concentrate my efforts there!

What a crappy short season. What happened to the two week season..... I took off from the 12 to the 27...... The migration doesn't even start that early. Hunt in cutoffs and a T-shirt in 80 degree weather . All the fee's skyrocket, tags, pass's ect for a 9 day season? Guess I'll hunt ducks after I fill my tag............9 day season.

One positive thing is the grouse seem to be on the come back. Didn't see much for deer in the high counrty but did well on the blues. Helps to have a dog that is a working machine when hunting in those steep ground tamaracks.

I've seen less grouse and more deer this year than last. I didn't go up that high I guess. My neighbors over there feed the deer until they all dissapear a week before the season opens. a week after season they come back begging for food. there's still some good hiding places left I guess.
