Nikon Monarch 8.5x56 Camo
« on: October 23, 2008, 12:29:59 PM »
Bought some Nikon Monarch 8.5x56 this summer and just got done with there trial run this season, these binoculars are alittle heavy but if u have a good binostrap that goes around your arms then there not too bad. The clarity is great, i compared them to my hunting budy's swarovski's and there was a difference, not sure if it was an $800 dollar difference but there was alittle bit of a difference. The Nikon are great for the color and clarity they run about $440 in cabelas but i managed to pick some up on ebay for $275 shipping included :). I was very happy with these binoculars this year. If your looking for a rugged pair of binoculars these are a great choice. The one problem i did have with them is that i hunt a very dusty area..the eye pieces have the twistable extensions that extend for regular user's or if u screw them in they work for people with glasses. These extensions got alittle dust in them and they are stiffer to turn now..that is my only complain.
Ruger brought back the .220, i just shoot it.
