Little Naches?
« on: July 06, 2015, 08:03:14 AM »
Anybody hunt for bear in this unit?  I've seen posts about seeing them.  I feel a scouting trip coming up for the opener.  Might as well hunt to :dunno:  :)

There are bears to be had in the little naches but there are better places to go find bears.  If you are in the area or are making a trip for berries then yeah you might also see a bear but there is definately better bear hunting in other areas l.

My guess he is scouting for elk, might as well carry a rifle in case a bear shows. I think he has the rifle rut tag.

I got one there a couple years ago but that was the only one I've seen up there.

Always bring a rifle with you. Hopefully you bought a cougar tag as well. I have seen more cougar than bear up there this year.  I find more bear sign in the heavy timber than up in the berry fields. Take a drive over the 70/1914 rd or stampede in the early mornings and yoh may see a few.
