I would highly recommend shooting your broadheads. Maybe just one but make sure they are flying the way they're supposed to. You have a lot into this on coming up. Don't risk it.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I have shot the Montecs for years now and also use the practice heads. I just use three (one pack) because they are expensive. I do everything I can to make sure my bow and arrows are tuned before I shoot the practice heads. Then I shoot one set of three arrows at 20 yrds and so on out to 60yrds. If I have done my tuning correct, I only need one set at each distance. I was really surprised this year, I did not shoot my bow since last season, I took it out to the range and it was spot on still.. I use a block target, it works pretty well and the arrows (with practice BH's) come out pretty easy but after a few years and lots of shots they start to pull out material with them and create pretty big holes which is why I shot them so sparingly. They have always been right on with my normal BH's so now worries there.

Good luck in Oregon this year!

My target has done the same thing. I have started to wear out the center so when I pull them out, I get some of the material with it. I have just been unscrewing the practice tip really quick and pulling out the arrow. Seems to work so far.

We are stoked for Oregon. Little over two weeks until we hit the road! Good luck in your upcoming season too.

Am I missing something here. I haven't looked at the regs for a couple years but the last time I read them the state the back end of the blade must taper toward the fletchings which would make the G5s illegal to use in washington.

they form an unbroken line not less than 90 degrees towards the fletching.  perfectly legal
