Looking for Navda based because you want to do some Navda events when the training is done ? Or you just want a hunting dog that performs to those standards?

I don't know of any local who play navhda. Seems "most" navhda guys are do it yourselfers.

I know of one navda guy and he is a do it himselfer, Barry Wild. There's a guy who posts on here who trains with Barry every week I think he posts as RC3.

I'm getting my GSP next Saturday and may also be looking for the same thing. If you hear anything let me know and at some point if you need a training partner for retrieves and such maybe we could work our dogs together at one of the parks. Mines going to be 7 weeks so he'll need a bit of time to be a puppy but I'm also planning on NAVHDA field tests.

Sorry yes, I would probably work with Don on my own if I can. Across the state could be a little tough but hopefully I could make it work. I guess it was more in reference to me trying to self train and having a partner who is also interested in it.

So what happened here?  Did you find a trainer?  Would you be interested in sharing info?  I live on Whidbey and my 3yo GSP will find birds all day long, dead or alive, but I need to get him whoa'd and force fetched.  He'll play fetch in the house with a ball (kind of) and I've been working on that one, but I've got no experience doing the other stuff.
