Ics hunter vs ics hunter pro
« on: August 19, 2013, 09:14:53 AM »
Does anyone know the difference? I shoot the ics hunter , and saw the pro version for a good price. I just wondering if they shoot similar. I looked on the beaman site but didn't see a difference besides being camo lol.

I'm guessing but normally pros have tighter tolerances one weight and arrow straightness.  Camo arrows will normally way more than standard black carbon arrows also.

Both have been discontinued by Beaman. I just tried to purchase some. The new replacement is Nightfall

I didn't realize they were discontinued.

So the "PRO" means there more accurate weight/straightness?

Pros .002 starightness vs .003 straightness on ICS Hunters. Plus the pro is Camo.

The biggest difference is the gpi. ICS Hunters are heavier than the Hunter Pros. 9.3 vs 8.8 gpi on a 340 shaft.

If you go to Dick's Easton carbon raiders are ICS bowhunters which as it was explained to me are the same as the ICS hunters with out the nock and insert upgrades.  The information I got was from an Easton rep.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

My camo hunters are 10 gr/". The replacement Nightfalls are 9.3 but dropped lower on the target, which surprised me.

I shot the ICS hunter  and the  ICS hunter elites  ( name then ) about three years ago and the only difference was the tolerance of straightness.  The little extra for the elites was worth it to me as my groups did tighten up and more arrows out of a dozen spin tested perfect with a broadhead. The regular hunters I would get six great ones for hunting and deem the rest practice, since I have been buying the better arrows I would say ten are " hunt worthy" out of the dozen and I feel that is a better value money wise.

Ok great thanks for the input everyone! I am buying them as my hunting arrows and wanted to make sure they shot the same or better.

Thats because the are a slimer arrow which will need your rest adjust for center shot

I got it tuned last night. Bheads and fields are hitting the same place. Thanks for the reminder.
