"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

I conceal everywhere I go until they implement metal detection to get in to the stores I will continue to carry as I shop.  I know some one will ask I work security at Century Link Field, where no one but uniformed officers may carry any weapon.

That may be the policy but i can tell you that everytime i have gone to Seahawks Stadium, i have been armed. The right firearm paired with right holster and you can get past almost any security checkpoint. Think S&W bodyguard in a Smartcarry holster. Belt on. Metal detecor goes off, show them your belt buckle and buttons on a pair of Levi 501s.  They think its that metal setting off the detector.

http://friendorfoe.us/ is a good gun friendly/not friendly store list for the US.  Join and add your experiences (and comments)

I OC any the time the weather does not demand a coat, and have contributed to this list.  Criminal carry (CC) does not advance our 2A position, OC does.

Anyway, I have seen comments on Costco:  The real answer is, Costco corporate policy is that if a local manager wishes to ban firearms, it may.  One big surprise I found is, CSWW (AKA BigR in WA, ID and MT) bans OC unless you are LE.  They will allow CC, but I still do not shop there, and told them so.  One thing everyone needs to do is let these businesses KNOW that we will not patronize them BECAUSE of their firearms policy.

Why does everyone jump on buffalo wild wings it is a bar and last I checked state law prohibits carrying in a bar, cafe-racer is also a bar so it would be a crime to carry there rendering there policies against it moot.

@biggfish:  Is the the entirety of the Buffalo Wild Wings establishment off limits to those under 21 years of age?  (I'm not familiar with Cafe-Racer.) Washington state law only prohibits firearms in that portion of an establishment that is off limits to those under 21 by classification of the State Liquor Control Board. RCW 9.41.300 (1)(a).

A couple years ago, I went to McGrath's Fish House in Vancouver. There was a sign that stated that firearms were prohibited in the restaurant pursuant to state law.  I asked to talk to the manager, showed him the sign and explained to him that his prohibition of firearms from the entire restaurant pursuant to "state law" was an erroneous reading of state law.  He disagreed.  He was also very dismissive and arrogant.

So I sent an e-mail to their corporate office.  (I didn't tell the manager that I'm a lawyer.) I received an email from someone in operations (I think it was the VP) apologizing and assuring me that the restaurant is pro Second Amendment. The sign was quickly changed to accurately reflect that firearms are prohibited only in the bar.

What's funny is that Costco sells the "Woods 3 Sided Hunting Hub Ground Blind" along with many other hunting supplies for a very good price!

So how many of you are boycotting cabelas they have a corporate policy that only law enforcement can carry everyone else has to relinquish their open carry weapons.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q47nVz0YC5M&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Cabelas has a sign on the door that states Conceal Carry is Exceptable, I'll take a picture of it next trip there. Gun that are brought in to sell,or any other reason then conceal carry needs to be taken to the gun stand right by the entry doors.

I think it's time to surrender something else at Cabelas - my Cabelas Club Visa. I can't believe they don't allow legal open carry.

I see all the malls have a no gun policy.  That is the one place where I ALWAYS carry concealed, especially Tacoma Mall!  I won't go to a mall without packing heat and so des my wife.  We are not about to "boycott" Costco because of their policy but what they don't know won't hurt tham.   ;)

Huh?  Look above at reply #58, the letter from Cabelas.  It looks to me like it is fine in WA, since it is legal here.  I can think of other reasons to surrender mine (like i use it way too much), but this isn't one of them.   :)

Costco statement.

Personal Firearms/Guns in Costco Stores

Costco Wholesale is a membership-only warehouse club. It is not open to the general public. It restricts membership to a limited group of qualified individuals who agree to membership conditions. We have the right and the obligation to our members, to enact and enforce membership rules. The Member Service Employees at the exit doors are obliged to follow these rules. By obtaining a Costco membership card, our members agree to comply with the Membership Rules and the Privileges and Conditions of membership.

Costco does not believe that it is necessary for firearms to be brought into its warehouse stores, except in the case of authorized law enforcement officers. For the protection of all our members and employees, we feel this is a reasonable and prudent precaution to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and safe workplace. Our policy is meant to protect our members and employees in all warehouses around the world. This is not a new policy and we do not customize the policy for each individual city/county/state/country where we do business.

Our primary goal at Costco Wholesale is to keep our members happy. If you believe that our policy restricting members from bringing firearms into our warehouse stores is either unfair or excessively burdensome, or you cannot agree to abide by this policy, or you are dissatisfied for any other reason, Costco will promptly refund your annual membership fee in full.

I conceal carry every day , every where. Except those areas prohibited by state or federal laws.

I and many others have open carried at Cabelas with no problems.

I saw a guy carried his pistol openly in the Puyallup Costco. Then one of the Costco staff asked him to conceal it under his T-shirt.

Just last week I was headed into Costco in Spokane and the person in front of me when he reached for his card showed a holster. The folks at the door informed him about their policy even tho it's not posted outside in any form of signage. He was turned around at the door.

Good thing I carry my wallet on my off side or I also wouldn't have gotten in.
