Another stolen camera thread
« on: August 19, 2013, 09:53:48 PM »
After getting my first camera stolen up on Taylor Mountain a few years ago I vowed not to use any cameras on public land again.  Well I've had two cameras out on private property in the North Bend area and one was stolen this past week.  I hate thieves.  Hopefully we'll meet during the season if they continue to trespass.

I've got pics of some people trespassing from previous photo pulls that I'm sending to the property owner to see if they can identify any of them.

Crap, if a mod can move this to the trail camera forum I would appreciate it.

Didn't seem to stop the prick that got two of mine today. I guess people now pack power saws with them these days to steal cams. Had some wonderful thoughts of what I would do to he or she if I found them, mostly ending with them enjoying their last day in the woods.

They'd need a torch to get mine out.

Ive had 1 stolen and even had the film stolen out of another back in the day when film cameras were still the norm.  Obviously more pissed about the camera being stolen but I felt a little more raped when I noticed that some a-hole actually took the time to turn off the camera and get inside just to take it about and take the film.  Then proceed to put it all back together again. :bash:  Just a thought, buy a cheap film camera, put it high in the tree, turn the flash off (because they are obviously doing it during the daylight), and point it directly at the other camera where the only pics you will get are of someone or something that actually touches it.
