I don't own one or have shot that bow you are talking about, but when I was shopping for a new bow last year I shot a bunch of different bows. One of them was the Fred Bear The Truth 2. It shot really nice, not much vibration in the hand, I like the grip and it was quiet. They are really nice shooting bows for the money. There are a couple guys on this forum that own some Fred Bears, maybe they will put there  :twocents: in.

Shot them all, it depends on what you are looking for...... they are a quality mid range bow..... I personally hate the grips.. they just feel awful.......... but thats me...... if they were a car id liken them to a hyundai........ durable, long lasting but not a sports car and priced accordingly.... with archery you DO get what you Pay for......

bowhunter i shot all the bows they would set up for me at cabelas last week, and from what i could tell the bears fit me the best, they might not fit you the best who knows. You deffinatly should shoot them before you buy one. I really didn't like the diamonds by bowtech, they didn't feel right. All the others felt and shot all right but i reallt liked the way the Lights Out felt, so that is what i am going to buy.

I truly enjoy shooting my '08 Bear Lights Out!

Not a barn burner (300fps) but very mauverable and light...dead quiet, even with no string leaches, and very little hand shock. Good shooting little bow, and comprable with those about $100 or so higher priced.
And I LOVE the squarish grip.

Got it at Joes on sale for $263 (bare).
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.
