Alex's 2008 buck

I have taken my nephew Alex hunting the last 3 years now and he is 3 for 3 on deer now.  Pretty good start for kid that's only 14 now!

Whats with people not being happy after shooting deer  :dunno: that the level of excitement I've had after NOT shooting anything  :'(

Believe me, he was happy as hell!  He's 14 though and would not smile for me for the picture. :dunno:  I guess that is his "I just killed a buck" scowl.  :chuckle:

Way to go Alex! Most folks smile, some don't. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of my hunt partner smiling. Me? I can't get the grin off my face for a couple days. Every successful photo I have over the last 30 years has me with that same sheet eating grin!

Good for you Lowedog, after all isn't that what its all about. Congrats to Alex on a fine buck, get a pic of him and all 3 of his trophy's up on here.

A buck like that would have been excellent for my son - he ate tag soup this season.  :(

Still, we had a blast - and he got to see the old man with another buck...

Well here is a pic of his 2007 buck.  Somewhere I have a pic of the doe he shot in 2006 but Haven't been able to find it.  He drew a youth doe tag his first year and decided after that to only put in for buck tags.
