duck hunting around spokane
« on: August 31, 2013, 12:09:10 PM »
not looking for any specific place just wondering if it is even worth trying
"One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted...If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job."

To the West is Twin Lakes , to the North is the Pend Orielle River and South is Sprague. Lots of pot hole in between. Look at maps and google earth.

Everything is worth trying.  :twocents:
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

Yes, we do quite well.
Like the rest of the country, weekends on public land can be tough.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

there is a lot of wheat country out there...from what I hear, geese like to eat it... check out some local farmers, they might even have hidden ponds on their property.  :twocents:    ....do you have a boat? a dog?  .... floaters, field dekes....layout blinds... or do you prefer jump shooting? ...a boat will open up a lot of options for you...
