I got a reply from wdfw. The 4 o land acquired is a quality draw only. You can access for all activities other than big game hunting. Who owns the land south of the grande ronde river to the oregon border. My buddy offered his drift boat to float and hunt. Any opinions on that? And thanks again for the wdfw contact.

Went and spent two days in mt view. Beautiful country. Amazingly steep and nasty. The little bit of flat ground is all private. As is the majority of the unit. Saw a giant whitetail buck on the way down there. Made friends w/ a local couple and they are calling in some favors for private land to hunt but no guarantees. Didnt see any good bucks in the unit. The terrain has huge mature buck written all over it . If you could ever find one. Saw a big 6 pt bull the first night. A couple pics from the ridge. Camera doesnt do it justice.

The last buck I killed in there was a 3x3 that was 24 wide 24 tall. There are bigger in there. Good luck.
