Nice! Bleed your fish after landing by ripping the gills. This will get the blood out of thoses eggs. Bloody eggs rot fast and dont taste as good to the fishies.  ;)

Should I gut it right away as well, Or is it ok to just rip the gills out and let it sit there while I continue to fish?

And I just fried up those eggs and ate them up. :) Couple of my friends thought I was weird, but I like them. Now that I have the first out of the way, I'll save the next batch for bait. :)

I just pop the gills out and let them bleed out for a few minutes then throw them on top of the ice in the cooler. the quicker they cool the better, but you don't want them sitting in water. :twocents:

Yuk! You ate em? Ewwwww....
You dont need to gut them right away, just bleed them. If your going to fillet them, its way easier with the guts in still!
