How to get a boat off then back on to a new trailer? *Photos Added*

Ok, Family friend is giving away a fairly nice 21 foot boat to us with a moter, just the reverse doesnt work. Sounds like its worth working on...
My question is, Its not on a trailer, Its just propped up in the yard. If i were to find a boat trailer to borrow off someone, How in the world would you get the boat onto the trailer?

*Ok update, Found out the boat IS on a trailer currently but the receiver hitch was rusted and broke off.
So now how in the heck would you get the boat OFF a trailer, and then back ON to another one

If you can back up to the bow as close as possible you may be able to winch and back up slowly at the same time. Good luck sounds tricky.

Yeah lol I was thinking maybe an engine hoist? To hold the front of the boat up. Doesnt sound easy at all.

You can buy a new reciever hitch and either bolt or weld it onto the old trailer.

In AK we used to prop my boat on 4- 55 gallon drums with planks on top of them. That was being lowered with a travel lift though. You might be able to do something like that.

Sounds the easiest way really, Id just be worried it about it falling apart driving down the road if one parts already rusted off..

Is the trailer tongue rusted? A receiver hitch is the one hitch that is connected to your car. If the tongue or the ball rusted off in the tongue you can buy new tongue piece to replace the rusted one.

Im not 100% but I believe so. I think he said there's no tongue, or wench on it.

Back the trailer up to the boat, attach the hook, place a couple floor jacks under the boat and crank it onto the trailer.

Well arent you fancy lol, thats one sexy boat AND trailer. I got a photo from the guy, the whole tongue is broken off they have both pieces still its just broke. Im trying to get photos to upload to here.
