Long poke pays off with a heart shot.  Ran 10 yards walked maybe another 30.  Not the buck I was hoping for, but the stalk was fun and one of my more unusual racks.  I'm happy with him and it was fun thinking I was 18 again :)
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

WOW Troutdreamer, that is an awesome blacktail...... congrats! I dream of bucks like that, and to take him in Sept. without the rut, that's a true achievement!
:yeah: And with a bow too.  Congrats!

This is my brothers 2013 buck.  I found him while scouting about a month ago with three other four points.  It took us a couple days to locate him on this trip but we had an excellent adventure together.  I am trying to earn the big brother of the year award.  :)  Any guess at the score, I haven't put a tape to it yet?  Now we need to find a taxidermist near Ellensburg.

That's one huge mulie. I think brother of the year away is mandatory for that one.
Agreed. Congrats again sir!
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Nice bucks peeps can't wait for our opener!
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

34 yard shot through the heart, ran about 50 before he was done. Not big but shot at my in-laws so the pack out was easy.

What's with the beer choice? Did I miss some mandatory hunting celebration vitamin R requirement? I've seen it far too often this year. I assumed we, as hunters, had better taste than that.

:yeah: we as hunters are better than that
