Go up little niches cross to 1902 toward Ravens Roost.  After 8ish miles Turn left at the coach sign (green neon paint). 3 miles to the end of the road.

Are they staying at Sand Creek Camp?

W where staying at the crow creek camp ground. I got there on Thursday morning on are way up to ravens roost saw the coach sign. I was going to hunt that area but went to another spot. Hope it turns out for you coach. We saw a couple small bulls then last night got into a nice 6x6 but the shooter got inpatient and it didn't happen.

Coach, dan, karl, chris and I are taking a break!!!  We have left it all on the mountain.. Back up on friday

Karl got to hike back into hell with us on Saturday. Great hunt and seen elk and even put a stalk on a decent bull.  But he gave us the slip!!

Chris, we really miss your cooking!

Looking forward to friday!!!

Definitely had a blast!  I was pretty nervous about the first time back in the elk mountains without Aaron but I gotta say that it was the most fun I have had since April 23.  I flat out had a damn good time!  Kurt and Corey are a blast to hunt with and keep things lively.  They hike pretty darn good for old guys :chuckle:

Seriously though, big thanks for letting me tag along!  Can't even begin to tell you how much healing took place.

quick update ! thanks for all the help and offers , It's been great getting to know some new friends , Chris in a hell of a cook and a real trooper , shootem /dr bob one of the most selfless friend a guy could ask for and gives it hell, rt/kurt one hell of a strait up guy that will trek to hell and back for you ,. he is even willing to go face on with a swarm of angry hornets to help a bud ! . Karl and dan are stand up guys and are welcome in my camps any time , karl is one hell of a hunter and we had a good time even though we didn't arrow a bull on sat we were into elk and shared plenty of laughs . most of the bulls we found wern,t call responsive. we found two shooters and the big guy moved from a killer spot into a hell hole the night of the storm , RT and I went in after him like six more miles only for him to give us the slip across the river (he took his cow and left , not ready to dance). this country is really thick and will be good if the rut ever kicks into swing , I just hope they get fired of before the end. Heading back out after a couple of days at work and I will push hard intill the end !Coach.
