Report from camp.
« on: September 01, 2013, 03:35:13 PM »
Been doing some serious hiking. In elk everday, few smaller bulls. The weather is up and down. Few bugles here and there.  One more day of scouting then game on!

Rtspring, Coach...
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Went up to camp today to meet the guys and set up my wall tent.  Kurt and Corey have been scouting hard and are living pretty plush!  Had some of Chris's BBQ as well and let me tell you all, its legit!  Gonna be a looong week at work!  I also got our camp banner hung up!

Just got home, have to work thur and friday! Coach and I have put in well over 35 miles in scouting and hunting in 6 days!! We summited mt Christy from fr 1905 all the way to the top 6200 feet!!! Warning to the weak, dont attempt if your at all afraid of heights! The trail is two feet wide at the top..

Seen some nice bulls but none fit the bill. The bugles are few and far between. We also hiked straight up the west face of Ravens Roost! Damn near vertical... We are giving it all we got!!

PS. Anyone ever see a lighted nock arrow shot through a gmc truck passing through both windows at 40 yds into a dollar bill stuck on a deer target??? We got that on video!!  Corey is deadly from 70 plus with his bow!! That SOB can flat shoot...
