Auction Ram Down (no pic's, sorry)
« on: September 02, 2013, 12:04:47 PM »
Theauction tag holder already put a ram down on Clemans which opened yesterday. He is a gentleman from CA. It appears to be a mature ram in the low to mid 160's.

My apologies to everyone. I had recently posted that this was the "raffle" ram tag. It was brought to my attention by Jackelope that it was possibly the "auction" tag ram. After checking with my source, Jackelope was correct. This was indeed the auction tag ram that was taken Saturday morning. Sorry if this caused any confusion.

I think the raffle tag ram was also taken up here on clemans. Was quads all over the place lookin for sheep. The auction guy had about 4-5 guides with him. Question for sheep guys, isn't there a better place than clemans to shoot bigger sheep if you were the auction tag holder?

I wouldve wemt with swakane then clemans but I don't have the money to buy a special tag and have guides do all the work for me. Either way congrats to him amd I know there was at least 2 rams that were pushing the 170's so he shouldve waited but oh well.

Not sure they can hunt the Swakane as there's only one tag given for that unit. I thought they could only hunt units with more than 1 tag given out. I could be wrong.

Not sure either I was just saying where I think there's bigger rams?

There are bigger rams in Swakane, but the only way you can hunt it is by drawing the single tag in the lottery.  If your friend had an auction or raffle tag he could not hunt Swakane.
