Bumping Cow tag no partners
« on: September 02, 2013, 04:14:01 PM »
Got drawn for mod rifle Bumping unit cow tag after I dumped my 2 hunting partners. Last season with them was horrible. Found out they could not stop drinking. Had to pound a half rack of beer each before the afternoon hunt. Every day was the same. I decided not to join them this year. Now I have a tag and will go it alone.
Would you guys do the same or stick it out for another season, so you would have someone to help you pack out your elk?

I'd go it alone. Is a cow elk worth hunting with a bunch of drunks?

Artist, depending on when you are going I'd be willing to come along and just help you. This will only be my second year hunting ever. I myself did not get drawn for anything so will just be hunting the general archery elk season.

Did not spend a lot of time in the gym the past 2 months due to buying a house and basically playing maid the past 2 months but other than that I'd be willing to lend a shoulder to your cause.

:yeah:

You'd probably increase your odds of success without them. Plus I don't know how safe it is to be tromping around in the woods with 2 drunk guys with rifles. :twocents:
Very cool to offer to help kingpuck.

That type of hunter in the woods is the number 1 reason I went to Muzzy hunting.
I actually enjoy archery now.  Just seeing animals is great....
Hunting, Basketball, Cars.... not much more for me to talk about.

I can whoop my butt into shape by the end of October and will be done with all the weddings by then (3). Always happy to help a fellow hunter and it could be fun to learn a new area. Only real concern now is being able to get to the place. Having a sedan puts a crimp on my hunting.
