trail cam snoop?

I have yet to use a trail cam, but kinda wondered if anyone has come across one and looked at what the card had on it... then replaced it.??

If I am on public land and come across a trailcam that is not locked up, I will read the sd card with my picture viewer and then put the sd card back and make sure the cam is on. Just ran into one the other day. It is unattended out in the woods. Why not look at the pictures .

By that theory then an unattended quad is litter. I should keep it then.

Didn't we just have this same discussion about "What If I came up on someone sitting in my tree-stand". If I recall correctly once Its left unattended on public land. Its considered public property. So someone could very much get into your stand and hunt it and you really cant do anything about it, Sure a vehicle left unattended unlocked -  that's a different story. Its registered to an owner in a state/nationwide DMV database, Is your tree stand? Is your ground blind? Is your camera? Naw. Trash and or public property. So unless you lock your camera and it has to be "broken into" I don't think there's any harm being done. If someone checks out your card, and places it back to the way they found it, You should be grateful they didnt just 1. Steal your card, 2. Steal your camera, 3. Bash your camera into 1000's of little pieces just for a laugh...

I cant stand it when people mess with my setup. Just a couple years ago I had some very nice bucks coming into my trailcam at my cabin (REMOTE PRIVATE PROPERTY) I had these bucks patterned and I could hardly stand the wait to opening day. I went up one last time to pull the cam just days before the opener. What I found made me angry. Some guy had come in kicked around my mineral licks then pissed all over the stump I had been pouring salt and apple jelly on. Never had pics of those bucks again. I posted the pics of that guys face all over FB and showed them to all my neighboring landowners. Nobody Recognized him, Nor has this son of a green %&#@*#&er showed up on my camera again! . I dont like trespassers, I dont like theives and I dont like people who display a complete lack of respect towards others. If I am out on public property or property that is open to the public, I try and watch for other peoples Sets or what not if I see them I avoid them or just leave all together.

Why should someone have to be thankful that some d-bag did the right thing and left their SH*T alone!? That is assenine. If I came up on someone messing with my stuff there would definately be something exchanged (hopefully just some course words) I would be thankful if someone did something positive for me. That attitude seems backwards. I set multiple cameras when I do and chances are the way I set my cameras I will get your Plate # or a pic of your face

Could be a reasonable excuse, Alot of people aren't smart enough to lock they're stuff up. They figure "Hey Im remote enough"
