Just ran into one the other day. It is unattended out in the woods. Why not look at the pictures .Because its not yours. That's why not. If I walked up to you checkin out my card, we would be having some problems...Im a firm believer in, if it isnt yours don't effing touch it... seems simple How many people are going to believe " oh sorry sir, I was just looking at your pictures real quick, I was going to put it as I found it" right!!!! If I walked up and saw someone touching my camera first thought would be its being stolen. And I bet this would be everyone else's first thought also. How hard is it to just walk by and give a wave? Considered litter or not? You know it's not yours, leave it alone. simple as that!

Why should someone have to be thankful that some d-bag did the right thing and left their SH*T alone!? That is assenine. If I came up on someone messing with my stuff there would definately be something exchanged (hopefully just some course words) I would be thankful if someone did something positive for me. That attitude seems backwards. I set multiple cameras when I do and chances are the way I set my cameras I will get your Plate # or a pic of your faceQuote from: Smossy on September 02, 2013, 08:59:01 PMDidn't we just have this same discussion about "What If I came up on someone sitting in my tree-stand". If I recall correctly once Its left unattended on public land. Its considered public property. So someone could very much get into your stand and hunt it and you really cant do anything about it, Sure a vehicle left unattended unlocked - that's a different story. Its registered to an owner in a state/nationwide DMV database, Is your tree stand? Is your ground blind? Is your camera? Naw. Trash and or public property. So unless you lock your camera and it has to be "broken into" I don't think there's any harm being done. If someone checks out your card, and places it back to the way they found it, You should be grateful they didnt just 1. Steal your card, 2. Steal your camera, 3. Bash your camera into 1000's of little pieces just for a laugh...

so then you could just walk around putting locks on peoples cameras. kinda like a dog p*ssing on things makes him the ownerQuote from: turkeyfeather on September 02, 2013, 09:04:55 PMQuote from: Smossy on September 02, 2013, 08:59:58 PMQuote from: turkeyfeather on September 02, 2013, 08:54:46 PMBy that theory then an unattended quad is litter. I should keep it then. Nope, Also has a registered owner through DMV. There's no question who owns it if law enforcement came, If law enforcement came over a tree stand, Or camera, How are you going to prove its yours. Because you say so?Easy to prove. I have the key that unlocks it.

There's no proof on who's camera it is. Even if "you knew the name on the camera" All that takes is to of beat the person there and scoped out the same ID card. Its not the wrong attitude, Its just fact. Im myself very humble and dont touch other peoples stuff. Im speaking realisticly though. If you put your stuff out there, Unsecured - and It gets touched, You ONLY have yourself to blame.

But there is also for sure a fair share of d-bags. You just notice the D-bags alot more because its affecting you negatively. There's probably alot of solid hunters with good ethics who walk by camera's and leave them alone while just trying not to cross the path of the camera just so there is no false trips. Just because you didn't get them on cam doesn't mean they weren't there.

Nobody has ever even come closer to check out my cams. Several just wave and walk on by. I have yet to ever have some dumb*** mess with my stands, blinds or cams and I hunt public land. Guess I have more respectful people in my area.
