Dove Hor d' oeuvre
« on: September 03, 2013, 07:26:52 AM »
Got home last night to find my Wife cooking on the BBQ. She took my limit of Doves and made these!! Bacon, Dove and Pepper jack cheese. They were Sooooo good!

I am gonna put more effort into dove hunting this year, as these little morsels are worth the effort!!

I wish my lady cooked like that, about the only thing she cooks is a mean box of mac n cheese.

Looks good. I've been told Dove is great, but I'm pretty confident there is no dove hunting on the west side. Or at least none that I know of.

Ya, boneless breast meat. 1/2 a breast per hor d' oeuvre.  Did another batch last night and put various cheese (cream/pepper jack) on them post BBQ. I will try and get pics pics later.

Try an Italian dressing marinade, then broil about 4" from the element, about 2 minutes per side.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
