Glock 29SF, look no further.
Are you set on a 9? A 1911 in .45 ACP is pretty slim. For a 9, Kahr makes some really compact stuff.
Camp what do you think of the XDS? How does it shoot? I just looked at a Kimber Master Carry Pro 3" barrel, very nice, but pricey.
Campmeat did you get the notice on the recall for the XDS .45 and the new 9.? G26 is an easy EDC as well. (Glock)

The Kahr CW9 seems very well reviewed and can be picked up for under 400. Anyone have one of those?

Plus, 9mm is a good balance of power vs. overpenetration for where I will be carrying, which is in the city. I also have a sp101 in .357 that I won't carry down there for that reason. I'd love a 1911, but they are more money than I wanted to spend on this one. The Kahr CW9 seems very well reviewed and can be picked up for under 400. Anyone have one of those?
The Kahr CW models are excellent guns.
