Let's talk about CCW again

Are you set on a 9?  A 1911 in .45 ACP is pretty slim.  For a 9, Kahr makes some really compact stuff.

I'm not married to the 9, but I already have one and I like to consolidate calibers. Plus, 9mm is a good balance of power vs. overpenetration for where I will be carrying, which is in the city. I also have a sp101 in .357 that I won't carry down there for that reason.

I'd love a 1911, but they are more money than I wanted to spend on this one. The Kahr CW9 seems very well reviewed and can be picked up for under 400. Anyone have one of those?

being you have a 9mm already Ill say the S&W shield or a S&W J-frame. the J-frame is light and easy to hide and you can shoot .38 out of your .357. Not a fan of Rugers or Kel-tec's please don't flame me for it, but they are just not for me personally and its just my

I didn't like the lack of safety on the Kahr. It doesn't have the opposing pressure releases like the XDs do, only one on the trigger and I couldn't get past that. My new LC9CL is really nice and for how small it is, surprisingly controllable.
