I tried getting up to the highest point where I hunt and blowing a few bugles at 3:45am but no replies....I have been having something reacting to my calls from my treestand ( have 4 bulls that come in every few days on my cam) but whatever it is won't come out of the timber. Also saw 4 bears from my treestand yesterday, I'm thinking maybe the elk won't show up while the bets are there?

They are talking where I was but nothing serious.  Practicing I call it.
Was up in the weather Friday ran into some hunters on the road who had not heard anything since the season started.
