I have a lab and a 12 year old who are pretty excited to get the season going. Who else is going to try the Youth hunt? I'm thinking about hitting Crab Creek and Frenchman's for a combo duck/pheasant hunt. Good luck to everyone that goes

To clarify- the child does not need hunter education, license, fees, stamps, etc. Just an adult accompanying that is not hunting/shooting. Is this correct?

The kids definitely need a license and everything you mentioned above. Hunter safety and all that are required.

Yes the kids need to have passed hunter safety and get a license. It's not part of the youth mentor program, that's probably where the confusion is.

I have a 14 year old who would love to go hunting this weekend.
I went hunting with a friend for the first time last year and had a great time, so at the end of the season I took my son, but the ducks were pretty much gone by then and we didn't even see one.
He has his license, stamp, and a shotgun to use but I'm not sure where to take him. We live in Duvall. Any suggestions of a good, easy, safe place for a single mom to take her son duck hunting?
