Doggy diaper suggestions?
« on: September 08, 2013, 10:52:58 AM »
My dog will be going in to heat here soon and need some better fitting diapers. I have always gotten her normal diapers and just cut a hole for her tail but kinda of a pain in the butt. Any suggestions for a 47# gsp?
I don't know why they call it hamburger helper, does just fine on its own.

My daughter came up with a great idea for our yellow lab. She took a bikini bottom that was too small cut a tail hole in them, a feminine pad and it worked great. Probably pick something at goodwill or Wally's . If I can find a picture i will post it . Very funny. Dogs wearing a bikini bottom and a tutu.

My dog is so humiliated right now, she's wearing a diaper as I type  :chuckle:

I know the doggy diapers are expensive but they work perfectly as long as the dog doesn't take them off

I'll tell you this... preventing spills and stains is worth the extra  :twocents:

Thanks I just end up wasting money on reg diapers that I don't use because I don't have kids. soso if I spend a little more  big deal. And yeah they get embarrassed but this will be her 4  time so she's  used to it.

This is Delia's first time.  She has become used to the diapers after about three days.

I bought some newborn diapers for her tonight which are just barely big enough for her.

I have 2 washable pet diapers that us disposable pads that I used for my 65-70 pound lab a few years back.  I'm pretty sure I have a box or partial box of the disposable pads if you thought they would work, I would sell them to you for $10 as I don't need them anymore.  Personally, I think the washable type are the best way to go as I can't imagine buying disposable baby diapers, cutting out the tail whole every time, and messing with all that.  with two washable diapers you can use one and wash the other so they stay relatively clean.  Just a thought.
