When to wear insulated camo?
« on: September 08, 2013, 05:07:21 PM »
I realize the answer depends upon personal preference, but I am curious: in what conditions and during what activities do people generally wear insulated camo (like 150g thinsulate insulated pants and parka)?

Conditions: snow on the ground, temps in the 20s, temps below 20s, low 30s

Activities: stand hunting, stalking, less that a few miles walking/day or more than 5 miles /day walking?

I layer with light weight until late archery. That's when I start wearing the heavier stuff. But like you said it's whenever you need it to be comfortable there really is no right answer.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

If you're somewhat active you will sweat your D off during West side modern if you wear insulated stuff, but that might just be me.

:yeah: if you are going to stand/blind hunt an area, make sure to dress light (yeah itll be chilly till you get moving) but pack in your heavier coat/overalls/etc and put them on AFTER youve gotten in & settled & your feeling cool again.
