We used the Little Buddy (smaller version of the one shown) for about six years before it puked just before this years deer season. It worked very well heating my 12 x 18 foot tent and we kept it on low all night and kept the tent well ventilated. The little Buddy would go through 3 or more small bottles of propane in a night, I got tired of getting out of bed to add a new bottle so I attached mine to a full sized propane bottle with a hose . That will last over a week for deer season.

Only thing that we have found is that that style of heater puts water vapor inside of your tent. The condensation will make anything wet that touches the wall of the tent. Putting on cold damp clothes can make for a tough start to your day.   :twocents:

Good point, condensation can be a problem

I use one in my pop-up tent camper...which is like a canvas tent.

I found that I get condensation in there when I'm in there anyway, and when I can turn it on high for a little while and ventilate it the condensation goes down.  I also found that I go through too many of the small propane tanks, so I bring the 20lb tanks and the hose attachments.  The tank needs to be outside the camper for safety, but also saves a little space.

It warms us well, its quiet, and I've never had any malfunctions with it.  So far I haven't died of carbon monoxide poisioning.

I've seen the larger heaters, but have never heard of the "buddy" ones....interesting.
