Catfishing Question
« on: September 11, 2013, 03:05:46 PM »
Hi Guys! So, I don't know squat about fishing and hoping someone here might have experience with catfishin'???

I have a friend that lives in Oklahoma that LOVES catfishing, and I found out today that he is fighting a tough battle with cancer :(  I was planning on sending a card but thought it would be cool to send him something he can use when he's done kickin cancers ass... Any ideas of something to send a catfisher? I'm not a big fisher myself (except for the humpies... they are always fun:) ) so I'm not sure where to start with this one...

Thanks!

Hooks and slip sinkers, swivels..   Maybe a new pole
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

yeah thats a tough one, a catfisher has everything he needs or makes it, maybe after he whips cancer go down there and have him teach you how to NOODLE that would mean more to him than some fishn gear

Hey Camo Queen, we started using circle hooks for cats a number of years ago. They work great on cats when one gets used to them, no hook set, simply raise the tip of the pole and reel. Hook usually ends up in the corner of the mouth, not half way to his toenails. Should keep his mind busy for a while. best of luck to your friend. Tight lines,ff

:chuckle: :chuckle: to NOODLE is to catfish by hand, you walk around in shallow water sometimes deeper, and you stuff your hand in holes in the end of stumps or holes in the bank until you feel a cats and getm by the mouth and YARD ON, its mud wrestlin at its finest  :chuckle:

I have the PREFECT gift for him.  I would be happy to mail it to you, I have an extra one of these.  These were seen hanging on the wall of the Duck Dynasty show a couple of weeks ago.

If not, this is a GREAT website to order catfish stuff from.  I am a friend of the owners.  Dave is a super nice guy.
