It doesn't get much better than rutting bull moose in the snow.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

It'd be cool to see a new state record killed this year.

Shoot, there could be a world record Shiras be killed in Washington this year I think.

We were camped in the NE this weekend and yesterday morning we woke up to grunts echoing off the hillsides.  We had a young bull walk right by our camp, raking trees and staring us down.  This should be an AMAZING moose season.

I didn't take any better pictures because I was busy getting myself to safety, he was angry when I started to move in on him.  I should have taken pictures of the trees and brush he was snapping and shredding.

Good luck moose hunters.

Here's a 2015 OIL target in 117.
