I just picked up some 250gr barnes tmz spit fire boat tail bullets for my knight. I was wondering if anyone has shot these rounds consistently. And should i expect the same good results or bad if there are any. Not looking to get into a bullet debate. Ive shot other rounds with good results. I bought these because i ran out of my other bullets. And these were the only bullets i could find at the time that had the same weight as my other rounds did. With muzzy deer right around the corner i didnt have time to search other places. So i bought these. Alittle more then i wanted to spend but i have some ammo now.I shoot a .50 cal knight bighorn and use 100 gr of pellets.Thank you in addition
Wow i did not realize how many variances there could be ive hunted with my muzzy for awhile. I would just shoot get on target and go. But this year i got a new gun and want to learn as much as i can about it. Like i said i have been shooting a knight bighorn the previous bullets i was shooting were power built 250 gr yellow tip. With normal #11 nipple. And 100grs pyrodex. But now i switched to barnes tmz spit-fire boat tails. And using pyrodex 50 gr pellets 100gr per shot with cci four wing musket caps.
He's probably still digesting all that "science."
So tell me I'm full of crap, or shut up about "working up a load." Just put in 100 or 120 grains of powder, your favorite bullet.......and shoot more.
Great buck. I shoot that bullet with 120 gr 777 loose and out of my TC B/D XR and it will shoot great out to 180yds. The buck is on the wall to prove it! I cant say enough good things about them.
