I bought this little production 440c hunter/skinner for another project. Problem was, it was supposed to be 2" longer than it is! It was mis-advertised. Oh well, I figured I'd practice my "Custom Budget" idea on it.
This is how the handmade L6 blasted and blued carbon steel budget knives will be laid out. Some variations, but mostly just like this. The lanyard hole out the back will be just tang, no scale, and the scales will be micarta and pinned plain.
This one is 440c stainless, 6.5" overall, 2.5" cutting edge, and a real nice fit and shape. I heavily modified the grip shape, and put my own cuting edge on it. It handles real nice and it's very, very sharp.
Standard weight leather sheath.
Black Micarta scales with peened brass pins.
Here's a couple pics....
This one ships out for $45!
Thanks guys!
