If you're going that far Jason I would look into the Little Pend Oreille Wildlife area south of there. It's over 42,000 acres and a lot bigger than the Sherman Wildlife area. Take mountain bikes and get in a ways. The Sherman area has deer but you can't get very far from the roads and other hunters. I don't know what kind of pressure either get during the youth hunts though. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

You also don't need to hunt just the Sherman creek area, its also pretty much surrounded by thousands of acres of natl forest

For higher deer densities hunt the LPO as Elk Stuffer said (unless you want to use bait...can't use it there but you can use it in the national forest..which the LPO is surrounded by) .... you can find good deer in both areas.

Ill be based around curlew with an invite from another member. This hunt has two purposes first get my daughter (13) on a doe and second try and break my 23 year curse I have never killed a buck. Hoping to get hers done and try and find a spike or something with horns. By god if I get anything with horns its going on the wall. Thank you guys info is great and I will post after the hunt.
