camo face paint?

Who puts on their make up for bow season?  I only do it for the first day or two it helps set the mood.

Not me I can't stand having that stuff on my face. Besides I'm much to pretty.  :chuckle:

Never leave home with out it.  It gets cold in the late season but I have never been able to shoot with a facemask or head sock on, just can't get my anchor consistent.  No issues with anchor and the makeup but the cleanup each day is brutal and like I said the late hunt is really cold.  Of course pain is temporary, big bucks on the wall are forever.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I do. Your face is brighter than you think, especially if the sun hits you when youre walking around. Same reason I dont look up at the sky when duck hunting without it.

I don't put on a thick gooey coat but I do take the glare off with it all over my face, neck, throat, ears, and eyes.

Like mentioned above, I just can't get a consistent anchor point when shooting with a face mask.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I got light skin and red hair.  Sun don't like me and hair is going gray so need something to cover it up.  Plus it covers up the ugly some or just make me more ugly.  No the Under Armor got it down around my neck.  Nice buck Bone

I just quit shaving all together and that breaks up the face line pretty well but I have worn make up before. More so when I go out and camp and stay out not for day trips or mornings/evenings.

I just grow out the beard a bit.  I have put the stuff on before but I swear it makes me sweat more, I believe it prevents heat from escaping my face.

Face paint is for pansies. You need to pick up some fresh bear crap and smear that on your face.  :chuckle:

I don't wear face paint per say.  I char the end of wine cork and use it instead.  The soot works great and is easily cleaned off.

I know bow hunters wear face paint for the camouflage effect.  But this paint job tells altogether a different story: Upon returning to camp, the weary hunter peers into his empty ice chest, and realizes that somebody has drunk the last beer.

Isn't that grounds for physical removal from hunting camp? !

I use the mesh face mask as well, archery, muzzleloader, modern, turkey, and ducks.  I figure if it gives me only a half second, that might be all it takes to make the shot.  Also, it keeps the bugs out of my ears and face in the early season.  I also wear camo gloves no matter how warm it is.

The worst thing about face paint is how it's hardest to clean out of your eyebrows   :bash:

When applying it at 0300, I kept forgetting to NOT put it on my eyebrows and it hurts to clean it out of there after a few days and I end up walking around looking like Jim Croce or Groucho Marx.
