MT. HULL RAM DOWN
« on: September 18, 2013, 08:23:04 AM »
The wife got her ram this weekend, it all started by talking to BMKR  on here and meet up with him and gave some great info! Saturday the 14th my 2 cousins and I were sitting there glassing the mtn. and BMKR also was glassing and stopping and keeping in touch, at about 9am we found a group of 9 rams with 3 really nice ones, so we watched them all day, at ten minutes before dark they took off up the mtn another 500yards and bedded down. We started walking up the mtn an hour before dark, made it to the top and and snuck to where we thought they would be and looked over the ledge and they were there at 60 yards! while we were arguing over which was the biggest they spooked and headed of the edge, our hearts sunk since my wife is struggling tired and her opportunity may have just left! we snuck down to the next ledge and looked down and they were all milling around about 100 yards and all together so we could pick out the best, the 5 best rams where facing away from us and then the biggest suddenly turned broadside and that was all the wife needed and a 25-06 bullet and a 30 yard run the rams 4 legs where in the air! we loaded the quarters and head on our packboards and out we came, with only one run in with a rattle snake!

From the picture it looks like she's not sure it really happened :chuckle:  That is fantastic.  We are happy for her.  Good to see the ladies with an OIL tag now and then.  Congratulations to her
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
