What Form to go with for my 5x5 bull

Hey Guys,

I am having a heck of a time deciding what form to go with for my taxidermist. I want to do something a little different than just the straight on look. I guess by default I am leaning towards the "offset SHoulder" form but  I also like the "Partial Sneak" and the "full Sneak". I suggested something with a turn but my taxi said that you are only ever going to see one side then and kind of leaned me away from that.

here is a pic of the bull.

I am open to any experienced suggestions on this please.

Depends!  Do you have a lot of space?  If not I would suggest a 45 or 90 deg. Turn.  Takes up less room.  Actually have one in my dads basement.  Don't care for a bugling bull, but that is just my     you'll have some time before you figure it out just look through some taxidermy pics!  Congrats on the bull by the way!  Saw you come out with it we were camped at the bottom of the road you brought it out.

He was straight away when I shot him at 20 yards. His forks at the top of his right side is a little better so I wanted to highlight that . I have plenty of space on the wall and it will be in a vaulted area.

Skies the limit then.  My deer I have the way they were when I shot them.  The elk usually get mounted according to space where they are going on the wall.  Head up with a slight turn maybe?  Google elk mounts and see what you can come up with!  You will remember that hunt for years to come!!!!

Texas heart shot? You'll have to mount the non-antlered end of him then...

I guess I meant Straight on rather than Straight away.LOL 

But I must say I saw more asses going away then I did head on....lol

I vote for sneak or semi-sneak

I would do a sneak or semi sneak with a turn so the side you want to highlight is out. Who is doing the work?

Peters Taxidermy in Graham.  I wish I could get the offset shoulder in a sneak pose.

Peters Taxidermy, great choice. You might look at the pedestal mount they have.

 It's better to take your time with your decision than to rush and be stuck with something that you aren't happy with. I don't know anything about Peter's Taxidermy but I assume that you have months before they are ready to mount it up. Take your time and look around the internet and even drop into some other taxidermy shops and look at some different mounts. You also aren't limited to just what's in the catalogues. If you really like the off-set shoulder there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to alter a form for you. However it will cost extra in most cases. Good luck with your choice. The hard part is over, this is the fun part

like ric said look at a bunch and look at bulls that are the same age class what looks good on one might not on another, adding to a pedestal will add effect aswell . something natural , he's a butte and elk are just so majestic , you guys worked hard fort that bull , preserving him is important .
