It's been a great year!
« on: October 27, 2008, 06:23:34 PM »
Well, I managed to fill both my Idaho and Washington tags this season.

I took the Muley in Idaho this year. Saw quite a few bucks opening morning but could not get one to hold still long enough to take a decent shot. On the second day of the hunt I bumped this guy up about 200 yards from our tent. One well placed shot later and I had him on the ground.

After arriving at home I set out to fill my Washington general season tag. Since I had plans to hunt Idaho Mule deer I hadn't made any solid plans to hunt in Washington (The seasons coincided). However, I ended my Idaho hunt on the second day (11OCT), called a few friends, and one of them gave me some advice on where to head once I got back home. Later the next day (14OCT) I managed to fill my WA tag with this nice whitetail. My sorry self forgot to pack the camera on my second hunt so I had to wait until I got home to take some pics.
