You're telling me at 150 yrds you saw that brow tine was over an inch long?  I bet you're the guy that shoots and asks questions later.  You got lucky

And how could you at 150 yards say that it wasn't an inch long?  1 1/2" is a small eyeguard but if I had the time to glass I would've smoked that buck the same as him...

Cruzer Congrats man. let the water roll off your back. if the point was measured on the inside it may not make it but because the points are measured on the "long" side it looks like some good eating to me.

Welcome Ballance1 it looks like your living up to the name  :chuckle:

What is up with all these detractors on here.  They all have less then ten posts to their name!  Is the buck legal?  Yes.  150 yards is really not that long of a shot, especially if he has good bino's.  Lay off A-Holes.

Cruzer congrats.

PS:  Did I really use to be that big of an ass when I first started posting.  The answer:yes. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I was thinking exactly what you said Cruzer....I do a ton of carpentry work. It would have been a no brainer.

I'da taken it too, if I could see the detail that's in those pics.  That's why a good set of optics can make or break the hunt.  I was on a mullie like this opening morning. I had him in my crosshairs at one point but wasn't quite ready to blow my tag on a 2x2 with eye guards.  Someone else wound up taking him  :dunno:

I've looked over the posts and comments, and after seeing the picture it's definitely an inch...what i didn't like was the fact it seemed like maybe the buck only gave CRUZER one good look before he actually shot and the only thing he noticed was big tines? After that he says he started up the hill and came to a clearing where he said he only had a head and neck shot....and then he shot. I think what really happened was the buck looked at him real quick, he glassed him, saw he was a nice thick rack. Assumed he would have eye guards or maybe didn't even notice that he wasn't even a 3. The buck then started up the hill and the first available shot he took. I'm just glad this buck was a legal buck.

My last day of hunting (last Friday) i took a old coworker out hunting we ran in to 3 very nice wide forked 2 Pt's that day ALL NO EYE GAURDS! He was anxious to shoot but i told him until i confirmed 3 no shootin, finally did confirm 3 on the last buck of the day we jumped in a scab patch next to some stubble it was smaller 3 pt with eye guards, good first buck and it would of been for him. He had acouple shots at it while it was takin off. Didn't even come close to hittin him :chuckle: but he had fun, plus the buck will be bigger next year!!!!Maybe CRUZERS 2pt would have been too.....

Congrats CRUZER nice 2pt...it'll put meat in the freezer

edit:i know at 150 yds though with only a head and neck shot...i'm letting this buck walk right into next season.
