Nicely done. Congrats.

K so now for the story, went out for the evening hunt and about an hr before dark I spotted this buck and another large 3x3 (had seen them both several times) they were up feeding so he stalk was on, after sneeking to arount 100 yards the 2 bucks split up and the buck i got made his way into a small bowl. I kept sneaking and got to 60 yards or so and he wouldnt give me a clear shot. He finally fed into a small rocky draw and that let me sneak in To 50 yards, I ranged him after he got in the clear at 52 yards, he was quartered away and put my 50 yrd pin on him and let er rip, watched my red nocturnal disappear in the buck slightly further back then i wanted. The buck jumped and walked about 50 yards stopped the went another 10 or so and bedded down. Watched him for 10 min or so he got up walked another 10 and bedded down again. I knew it right then he was gut shot.
I watched him till right at dark when he got up again and walked over the hill out of sight. (*censored*)
I got ahold of my dad told him what was going on and then the worst thunderstorm of my life hit, dad said were gonna get wet and headed for the truck. knowing I had to give this buck overnight I went looking for my arrow not a trace of the lighted nock anywhere.  While looking for my arrow and lightning cracking everywhere around me and saying to myself i should not be out here, I glance over my shoulder and the horizon is bright orange, *censored* there is a fire, I look a few more minutes the wind starts blowing HARD right at me. I look up to see the fire is less than 300 yards from me and closing fast! I grabbed my pack and started running back to the truck. About half way back the it started raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock. Needless to say it poured and stormed all night. Went out before daylight and started the search. No arrow, no blood. Finally found 3" circle of blood and nothing else. I was sick, lost hope when my brother whistled at me while we grid searched. Knowing that he found him I was on the run and relieved. The buck went 100 yards from where I last seen him and was done. Sorry for the long rambling story. Haha typing on a phone sux.
