Firstlight, OMG! what a way to make an entrance. That is one of the most beautiful deer I have ever seen posted on any sight! I wish I could pull myself away from the Muleys, 'cause I would love to have a big Blacktail and Whitetail on the wall beside the Mule deer. One like that would be just right. Congratulations, I'm assuming that you shot him somewhere up in the Whatcom County neck of the woods.

Firstlight, I am glad you came on here.  I posted last week how I seen a guy at Dave's  sportshop that brought in a whopper of a blacktail.  I never got your name and Dave couldn't remember.  I was really hoping you would come on here and post a picture so everyone could enjoy it.  That is an awesome buck.  Now, I'm curious what the details of the tape measure are.   Did Bruce score him for you?  If not, and you want him scored, PM me and I'd be happy to but a tape on that bad boy.   I pasted my original post and am curious to see if I was in the ballpark on him scorewise.  Congrats!!!

Original post:  I hate to tease 'cause I don't have any pics. but I just got back from our local hunting/sporting good store and a guy came in with an awesome blacktail.   He just got him and had him whole in the back of his truck.  He was a perfect 4 x 4 w/o eyeguards.   His G-2's and 3's were a little off from one side to the other but otherwise was a great buck with little deductions.  I'm putting him at 125 and possibly 130 B & C.  We just don't see a lot of symmetrical 4 x 4's in this part of blacktail country.  I wish I had my camera and gotten some pics.  Hopefully he comes on here and shows it off and lets me know how close my quick scoring estimate was.   's
