Are the pinks gone?
« on: September 20, 2013, 09:02:49 AM »
Went out last night with a good friend and we didnt catch a single fish.  I saw one jump near the end of sunlight, when normally there jumping all around.  Are they gone now or did the full moon have something to do with it?  Im going again tonight, but if there gone then I will just chase some dogfish.

I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

So the pinks are done then?  I am taking my Little Brother out fishing tonight, and want to put him on some fish since it will be his first time fishing the salt. I didnt see any coho's out last night either so I may plan on going after some dog fish since they are a fast action fish.

Don't know where your fishing. While your dogfishing just look for jumpers. Pinks are coming to an end.

What area are you planning on fishing?  I saw some pinks jumping last night, but I'm pretty certain the bulk of the run is up the rivers now.

Seems the pinks are trailing off.  Usually the coho hold off until the pinks are mostly done making it seem like the coho are a little late during pink years (but if it happens every other year is it late ???).  Last year on the coast the word was the coho would be late...but they never really showed up in the rivers.

Last night I was in area 6 but today I am going to area 8-1 where I have seen dog fish so I can have my little brother get hooked on some   For those not aware I am a Big Brother of Island County, and thanks for all the help in this thread.
