Broadhead Questions
« on: September 20, 2013, 11:13:29 AM »
I am just getting back into archery after a 5 year abscence.  I currently do not have any broad heads.

I saw an article on hear about Toxic Broad heads.

They look interesting and are supposed to fly like field tips.

Any pros or cons from real world users?  Or are these things gonna be a fad?

What do you shoot for broad heads?

Thanks
Mike--lostbackpacker

Montecs, Strikers, or Shuttle T's for me.

right now i have two Shuttle T's and three Montecs in my quiver.  Next year i'd like to try strikers.  they are very sharp!  i friend cut himself at the archery range swapping out strikers for field tips a couple years ago.  bled like stuck pig!

Slick Trick viper trick is tough to beat. Sharp, semi cut on contact, steel ferrule, fly great.  Did I mention they are sharp!

Do not overlook the Carbon Express f-15's I did a flight test with many and all mentioned and the f-15 still shot the best. Now that was with my gear anyway. We have killed 4 elk with these in the past couple years. Work good.

Muzzy 3 blades for me.

I had muzzy 3 blades last time I hunted archery (2006). they worked just fine, just thought there might be improvements in technology with them just like everything else in the world.
